The weather has been nice for the last couple of days, finally!! The kids can go outside and make everyone really happy!! I have pictures of baseball and trampoline jumping, as well as yard cleaning that I will post in the next couple of days. We also had a recital for Riley on Saturday but we need to get those edited before they can be posted. Before I go though I am going to say Thanks to my wonderful hubby for the really nice profile he graciously added the other day when he was bored at work!!!
On Wednesdays, Preston and mom head off to spend the morning together in Mrs. Hillstroms' class. I've decided that Kindergarten teachers are grossly underpaid for what they do. It's hard to imagine the patience needed to spend even 2.5 hours with 23 5-6 year olds. Especially on days like today where the kids can't go outside for recess because of the weather. These brave women (and men) have the patience of Job. Preston's teacher only teaches half-day but there are those who have all day classes. They're nuts! It's good that I only "get" to do this a couple of hours a week because I'm not sure I could handle much more!! Mind you, these kids are adorable, but they are full of exuberance and lots of energy, of which I do not match in any way, shape or form. He looks forward to it every week though so I am happy to do it, mostly to see the smile on his face when he reminds all his friends that it's his mom that will be there today.
I forgot how bad teething is. I suppose it's different with every one but Cassie is not dealing well with getting teeth. She doesn't want to do anything and only wants to be held. That's OK. Todd is home, there is more than one of us to hold her. NOOO! She only wants mom. Oh what fun!! Robbie and Todd were having a conversation about what Todd had taught Robbie to do in his life....like cooking hot dogs, catching fish, riding a bike etc... Robbie said "Yeah dad, but you haven't taught me to catch a jackrabbit." Random. The things they say!!
Well, I've finally done it. I've jumped into the world of blogging. It happened quite innocently. I was having a conversation with some of the mom's at Riley's dance class and they said it's a great way to keep everyone up to date on your family. One of the mom's even had her blog published to a book. She said if she posts a couple of times a week, it keeps her from having to scrapbook. We'll see whether or not that works for me. Our camera is mediocre at best so I will do my best to keep up with pictures of the kids. We don't yet have a family picture that includes Cass so I will get one asap. We went to the Ward talent show last night to watch Riley dance. They did Every Girl Can Be a Princess. It was great. I thought they all would have stage fright, but they did really well. They smiled and actually danced. Here is a picture of Riley in her costume. The recital is next week so hopefully we will have video.
It's snowing here again today. We were going to paint the exterior of the house. So much for that idea. We also have new video of Cassie enjoying the dogs water. It's quite hilarious and pretty gross, but we're a little twisted. What can we say? I'll post it shortly.
