Resolutions....

I really should be better at keeping up with this blog. I can blame it on the fact that I have 5 kids and 2 under the age of 2, but I know plenty of others who can seemingly "do it all." I'm not complaining, it's just that blogging is not on the top of my list. What is on the top of my list right now you ask?! Working out. Yep. I said it. I go to the gym with my mom every day and we work out for at least an hour. Then, sometimes I come home and do another hour on the Wii fit. I'm actually feeling a little selfish, but it feels great and I deserve it. I am committed to getting rid of all this extra weight and taking better care of myself and being a little selfish in the workout time is the beginning.
Todd's family is taking us to Disneyland for a family vacation in April. Can you only imagine how happy (almost giddy) that makes me? I haven't been for 2 years and I was starting to go through withdrawl. What's that you say? It's impossible to go through Disney withdrawl? Clearly you are not a true Disney Lover. It is possible and very difficult!!! I hear rides calling my name in the night!!! When I found out we were going in April I read one of the guidebooks for 2010 all the way through. That's right. I went out and bought a guidebook and read the whole thing...even though I already know most of the information. From cover to cover. It just makes me feel good!!! What can I say?
The kids are just as excited as I am. How could they not be? Their mother is quoting some Disney fact and talking about it non-stop. The last time the kids went, Riley was only 2. I can't wait to see how much fun she has this time. Yes, we are going with a 2 year old and a 9 month old, but grandparents are there and it won't be too bad. We've got a week in the park so we don't have to rush to see everything. Trust me, I'll be posting more about it as time gets closer.
Valentines' Day is sneaking up on us too. Yes, it is a commercialized holiday, but what a great excuse to show your family and friends you love them. I can't wait.

You'll enjoy this sidenote: at dogschool on Friday we were supposed to pick a "magical" word. A word that will eventually work even better than calling the dogs name or yelling HERE. To be a REALLY good magical word, it is supposed to be 2 syllables and end with the eee sound. The first thing I thought of was MICKEY and then I thought of DISNEY - not much more magical than that in my mind. (I haven't decided yet which one to use.) DISNEYLAND - where all your dreams come true!! Sigh - wish I were going again soon, so excited for you.

Good job on the working out, Ally. I was doing well last year until all the snow came and it got so freaking cold I didn't even want to think about going outside. Got to get moving again soon...Just thought I'd let you know I do stop by and check out your blog now and then.
